Þingvellir (Thingvellir)
This is where Iceland’s parliament was established in 930AD (I guess meetings were quite short to start with in this weather). The site straddles the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, its rift valley forming where the Eurasian (on the right) and North American (also now very much to the right!) tectonic plates pull apart at an average of 3cm a year
Stjórnarráðið, Reykjavik
The Prime Minister's office, Reykjavik where their secretariat is based and where cabinet meetings are held. It was formerly a prison.... Oh, the irony! The mural is set back although I’ve made the image look one dimensional. It's inspired by the song “Pale Green Ghosts” by John Grant it is on the gable wall of a music studio
